    Nature Plus: Into the Wildlife

Sofap is proud to contribute to raising public awareness regarding the preservation of precious species and ecosystems in Mauritius through the sponsoring of the 12-episode TV documentary series, Nature Plus. In so doing, we want to stress the importance and urgency to protect the precarious Mauritian biodiversity.

A first of its kind, this set of documentaries provides insight into the very dynamic and not so spoken about world of wildlife preservation in Mauritius. The documentaries provide viewers with an opportunity to learn more about rare species such as the kestrel, the pink pigeon and geckos as well as dolphins, sperm whales and other components of the marine biodiversity.

Nature Plus is produced by Spin TV in collaboration with the Mauritius Marine Conservation Society, the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation and the Black River Gorges National Park. The first episode of the series was broadcast on MBC3 TV channel on Thursday 25 August 2011 with a rerun on the same channel every last Thursday of the month. The programme is also expected to be broadcast on the TNT – Knowledge Channel on Mondays following broadcast on MBC3.
